Shame on the Farting Cows!

I heard a news brief on the radio this morning.... There is a European community that is now taxing farmers for methane produced by cow and sheep flatulence. New Zealand caught wind and is seriously considering doing the same...
I wonder...
How exactly do they propose the farmers are to stop their livestock from farting?

Wild.

some silly articles. but, additives (blahh) would possibly be the solution. I'm not sure if they way our meat is factory fed has a role or not, but its possible that more natural living may be better. Also, its a problem becuase of the quantity of cows out there farting. We, as the western world, have put such a demand on meat consumption that there are more and more cows out there farting, contributing to a significant percent of the GHGs leading to global warming. If we ate our beef in less quantities (as nature intended), there would not be a need for so many freakin fartin cows! Just a thought.
