Prophesy...

It's been a common theme lately... With Easter having recently passed, maybe that was the start of it all. I find it exciting to see time and time again in scripture how God makes himself known by the fulfillment of prophesy. So many of the events in Jesus' life were foretold exactly (from his birth to his death and resurrection)... not just a couple months ahead of time.. but hundreds and even a couple thousand years in advance. Wow.. Amazing!
Then the other day on my flight to Denver, I started reading kind-of in the middle of Revelation (I don't know why...) Anyway I got to thinking again about Prophesy... and how God keeps his promises. And I thought... maybe a lot more information about world events have been alluded to or prophesied in scripure than we even know. Infact, I trust that everything important that we need to know about past present and future has been provided for us by God. Wow, he loves us so much that he wants us to know what is going on so that we won't miss out on what he has prepared for us!
Well last night when we got to Arizona, my mom and I were watching a video that she has. It was very informative, it also pointed out that no other god of any other world religion has prepared or fulfilled any prophesy but the God and father of Jesus Christ. (The God of the Holy Bible) Think about it, it's true!

After reading a bit in Revelation on that plane ride, I went to the beginning...

"Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophesy and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it because the time is near." Rev 1:3

Maybe a bit harsh, just some thoughts. I'm just saying God doesn't lie, God doesn't break promises. Everyone is invited to be part of the promise, do you accept his promise?
